Research
BACD Commissions the ‘British Conference Venues Survey’ which seeks to measure the key characteristics of the UK conference market from a venue perspective and also provide the best possible estimates for volume and value of the market. Publications
BACD produces the ‘British Destinations Directory’ an annual publication detailing narrative, pictorial, statistical summary of the facilities and attractions of each of its member destinations. It also produces a series of factsheets on the industry and has copies of other reports/papers for sale. For further information and an order form click here.
Education and training
A continuing programme of short courses and events allowing members and non-members to gain new skills and ideas and exchange information. New courses in Venue Marketing and Event Management are now available and coming soon in association with Destination Marketing Associaton International (DMAI) are ‘Destination Positioning’ and ‘Branding’ (1st-2nd October 2007) and ‘Sales Academy I’ (March 2008).
